This last weekend, one of my little sisters came to visit me in Oregon....
I was excited.
To see our loverly weekend in photos, just click below!
Not only was this her first trip to Oregon, she is currently 3 months preggers with her first baby and my first niece/nephew (TBA). This was a great chance to get her head out of the toilet bowl and into the freezing waters of the Oregon coast. Not to mention Dunesfest, energy healing, documented boo-boos, in-sync premonitions (NOT the band), Sparkle Parties, dinner with the neighbors, altercations with bumble bees and homeless alike, pretentious pizza, fantasy crab dinners, block parties... etc. etc.
Apparently, such cold conditions turn me into that Great Aunt everyone has that never married and is kind of crazy and lives in an assisted living complex that you see once every other year at Thanksgiving or something and she gives you $5 and a squirrel that she knitted out of actual squirrels that she calls her children. So I let Amanda go off and explore the waters and tide pools by herself (middle) while I curled up in the warm sand.
The biggest event of the weekend had to be a well-timed *Sparkle Party*
Are you starting to see the resemblance..?
We got challenged to many a game, for reasons quite obvious.
Ending in a much needed day of recovery...
Battling bees over the gorgeous flowers. Footage of battling homeless people not found. It was much more of a repeating, passing altercation with various individuals than an actual 'battle' per se...
Some ORGANIC pizza, topped in self-righteousness. The band, Through the Roots, was wonderful.
Thanks for the visit, sis. Love and miss ya. Take care o' that belly!
XoXo
