So apparently someone got wind of how much I love Food Should Taste Good's products (mentioned among my fav snacks in my JNT "Model Diet" blog post) because I got a rather fantastic package in the mail recently....
Curious how they fared? Click below to read all about 'em!
So first let me tell you WHY I love Food Should Taste Good (FSTG) products. When it comes to staying within my nutrition restrictions, these are all amazingly guilt free snacking options. Not only are they NOT celery (also guilt free) they are certified gluten free, certified kosher, and certifiably DELICIOUS. All varieties are made from all natural ingredients with no artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives. And did I mention that they are NOMMY??
I'll start with the multigrain chips...
Made with brown rice, flax, sesame & sunflower seeds, and quinoa (a 'superfood' grain) these chips are the perfect complex carb and an amazingly filling snack packed with tons of energy. They're like a tortilla chip but pumped up the super natural amazingly healthy way.
The Olive variety is great but comes in second to Multigrain. I know plenty of people who love the the strong, salty flavor of olives and they will love these. Plus there's a ton less sodium and much more nutrition than the real thing. I loved them with hummus, but imagine that these would be delicious too with cheese! Not for me, but for the 99% of people who enjoy cheese..
The Sweet Potato variety is best described as 'interesting,' and not at all in a bad way. My first sweet potato experience was within the last two years, so I am still new to the hearty, sweet flavor. I enjoyed them plain although not as much as the first two flavors. I would love to try these again sometime topped with one of the great recipes provided on the FSTG site, such as the Hazelnut Spread; Yum!
As far as the Kettle Corn chips, I feel that I can describe my immediate reaction much better with the following photo...
Yeah, it was that amazing. I was almost in shock at the first taste. They are so sweet and just the littlest bit salty and absolutely amazing! Plus they are still made with simple, natural ingredients like evaporated cane juice and sea salt. I instantly found a new, sweet-tooth fix. This particular bag did not last long!
Thanks a ton for the goods, FSTG! And thank you all for reading. Feel free to follow along at all the wonderful lil' linkies below!
