Hoooollleeeeey fuck, have I been busy! And it's been a total blast! After a few weeks of traveling (and of course shooting), I'm back in my HQ in LA and have been busy doing Awesome every day! It's taken me a week but I finally have a new #JNT video update to share, with lots of sneak peak photos from my travels and a look at my crazy-amazing first week back!
I also have TONS of photos I want to share from my recent Friday night as Jordan Bunniie's 'plus one' to the VIP opening of the Hello Kitty exhibit opening at the Japanese American National Museum (JANM) in the Little Tokyo area of downtown. LA.
Can you say *Adorable*?? And I, of course, looked appropriately fantastic ;) Click below to see the photos of my fabulousness and to learn more about the art and artists of this amazing HELLO KITTY event!
I was super excited when Jordan Bunniie (as seen HERE in our previous model-ventures out to the Arizona Shoot Out last spring) asked if I was free to be her plus one for the VIP opening of "Hello! Exploring the supercute world of Hello Kitty."
The only important question of course.. What to wear!!
Immediately, one Hollywood-based designer came to mind..
By the way, the reason Bunniie was heading to this event: She's in the exhibit! That's her on the wall, as photographed and Hello Kitty-ized by photographer Julia SH.
The exhibit itself was awesome, exploring the history, influence, and memorabilia of Hello Kitty, with rooms full of artwork from artists all over the world, as inspired by the infamous, non-cat (join THAT debate on twitter) Kitty White; the little-known full name of the "Hello Kitty" star.
Check out some of my favs! Modeled appropriately with many a goofie selfie by yours truly. . . .
My favorite part of the event, besides the HUGE commotion Bunniie and I caused with security for drinking in the gallery, -seriously, we had had those glasses of wine the ENTIRE time. I get the rule, but it's not like we brought the wine from home. Six guys with earpieces is a bit much for two little blondes, don't ya think..? And as if JNT is about to throw away a free drink - was the opportunity to meet and chat with the artists!
And possibly my favorite photo of the evening...
A picture of a gal looking at a painting of a picture of a gal looking at a painting of Hello Kitty. . . . *Mind Blown!*
Additionally, I loved learning more about the message of Hello Kitty, and the thoughts behind the Kitty White character. From her lack of a mouth to the colors of her bow, everything about HK is designed to bring smiles and friendship to the world.
"Pink makes you Happy." Hmmm, perhaps that's why I've been consistently adding it to the JNT brand this last year.
And of course it wouldn't be much of a night out with JNT without at least one great bathroom selfie ;)
Want more? Check out the write up in LA Weekly! You should recognize two certain fanfuckingtastic bunniies in there too ;)
There's a whole room full of Hello Kitty fashion that I didn't include! This exhibit will be up until April, so you got some time to plan your trip. You can find more deets at the JANM website HERE (closed Mondays).
Also, you may have noticed mention in my video that I have some awesome JNT merch for sale! Specifically, a dozen fantastic photos from this event (By popular request, I am trying to get better at making JNT available for purchase) ;)

Huge thanks to Jordan Bunniie for inviting me on this adventure. to Pretty Star Clothing for making me look AWESOME, and to my gurl Christine "Pinky" Dillon for loaning me the perfect Hello Kitty necklace to make the look complete. Love ya, bitches!
All artwork is CR the respective artists. In the words of Julia SH, 'This is America.. everyone takes pictures of everything.. [but] it's nice to be credited.' I agree =)
