Last October I had the amazing opportunity to work with the incredibly talented body painter, and all around amazing person, Trina Merry.
That name sound familiar? This might be why...

I'd had the chance to meet Trina on the cruise to Mexico (full blog post HERE) and had seen her incredible work online, and in person.
The plan was simple enough, as good plans usually are. I would drive up from a group shoot in Riverside the day before and stay with a friend in San Jose. We would start painting the next day at 9AM.
Unfortunately, like most plans in the JNT world, things did not go quite to plan. First off.. this was me with one of my model besties "Nymph" who was go-go dancing at a company halloween party until 4AM the night before...
Impromptu go-go dancing and free Gin & Tonics.. what a deadly combination. Luckily Trina was also caught up, and the plan was revised to meet at 3pm.
Creativity had grabbed ahold of her and when I arrived Trina was immersed in creating the eleborate backdrop that she would later camoflouge me into.
Already recognizing a long night ahead of me, I curled up in a corner of her gallery and caught a few more hours of sleep (no I am not kidding, I can literally sleep anywhere). The visitors that came into the gallery throughout the afternoon probably thought I was a homeless person.
With the backdrop complete (and GORGEOUS) it was time to start painting me... at 9PM.... 12 hours later than planned.. luckily being painted is the fun part!
Many hours of 'hold.. *click* ok hand slightly higher... *click* ok head back more... *click* ok hand slightly lower...' *click* later....
It was 5am when we decided that if we hadn't gotten it by then, then we never were.
Luckily for me, I think we got it. What do you think?
By far, this was the most physically and emotionally exhausting shoot of my life! That right there is exactly why
I do what I do.
Thank you Trina for making me your canvas, you are incredible! <3
XOXO
