Check it out - Behind the scenes, Travel, Photosets & More!!

Part of this lifestyle means traveling to really cool places to hang out and work with incredible and talented creators like myself. I know, poor me! After spending two years on the road, building my port, I'm now officially based in Los Angeles and LOVING IT!

Stay tuned for all my many, many, MANY new adventures! XoXo JNT

JNT the Bunny Princess celebrating good times & New Beginnings at Dr. Sketchy's (LA)

Sometimes, when life has become overwhelming and stressful for a few weeks too many (I'm blaming the crazy moon, on top of my equally crazy schedule), you just need to dress up like a Bunny Princess and go get the fuck drunk, ya know?

No reason needed, just because Fuck Yeah.

Picture
And dress up like a Bunny Princess I did! I believe the kids and club douchebags would refer to this as "YOLO." For all you fashion curious, there will be deets on my outfit at the end of the post! (Bwahaha!)

Luckily, I actually had an amazing reason to do just that! Introducing an appropriately badass #JNT blog post in celebration of one very special, Art-driven, Booty Shakin', Free Hot Dog-fueled, Dr. Sketchy's event in Hollywood, CA!

Click below for all the [slightly scandalous] photos from this event and to learn more about why you suck for missing it, and how you can join the fun next time (no matter where you are)!

Many of you may have noticed that since I moved to Los Angeles back in November, I've had the opportunity to pose with the Dr. Sketchy's LA chapter on more than one occasion...

Picture
Yours truly dressed as an "April Fool" as the featured model at April's Dr S event.

Important Note!! While I am referring to the LA chapter, Dr. Sketchy's "Anti-Art" School was founded in 2005 in a Brooklyn dive bar and has spread to over 100 cities all around the world!

As a result of these adventures, not only have I had a blast standing very still (and very nekkid) for strangers, but I've also been part of some really incredible art by some very talented people!

Here's a few of my favs, cropped in an upsettingly unsatisfactory manner due to website layout bullshit outside of my control; You can find better versions posted on my Instagram.

Be sure to follow the Dr. Sketchy's Tumblr feed for uploads from artists and models all over the world!

Held on the first Tuesday of every month, the LA branch of Dr. Sketchy's is known for it's large crowds (it is by far the largest group I have posed for), as well as a live DJ (siiiick), and incredible models; ranging from world-renown alt models, to burlesque performers, occasional drag queens, and even a couple adult stars; all for your drawing enjoyment! And, most importantly, ALWAYS free hot dogs (veggie dogs also available.. although I very, VURY, strongly do not recommend these.. Just... No).

With so many reasons why Dr. Sketchy's is the shit, it's dumb to think that not everyone has been to one. Even when I wasn't booked to model, it became a bit of a tradition for me to still show up, doodle horribly for a solid minute or so, and "Make sure the Wine gets a home..."

Picture
Typically I stick to "red" but when that runs out I'm really not picky.

While my intentions this last Tuesday were the same as every other Tuesday, err, I mean every other Dr. Sketchy's event, this time I had a lot more competition when it came to emptying the wine bottle(s).

Picture
A glimpse at some of the fantastic chaos! This is roughly half the attendees of the night. Pictured to the left (if squinting hard enough) you'll see ringleader Bob Self in his trademark coat, and model Ulorin Vex posing on the couch to the excitement of many a pen/charcoal/paintbrush/non-idiot.

I had heard rumor before arriving that it was the birthday of our Los Angeles Dr. Sketchy's Ringleader (and creator of Baby Tattoo Publishing) Bob Self . . but unbeknownst to me it was also, after five years of quirky, nude, artistic awesomeness, his LAST Dr. Sketchy's event.

Picture
The Man himself, Bob Self, posing appropriately with his favorite Bunny Princess and one of his infamous Free Hot Dogs. They will both be missed.

Not only will these fantastic "Anti-art, Art" events now be in the capable hands of Lili VonSchtupp (more deets on Lili to come!), the venue will also be changing!

Previously held at Titmouse animation studios in Hollywood (if you're an Adult Swim fan this logo maaaay look familiar to you), the new Dr. S's HQ is currently TBD. Not to be a gossip; but awesome rumors of theater seating and/or a full bar are currently rampant!!

Picture

The Mice and their Tits have been awesome to the Sketchy family though, and I'm excited to have met and posed for so many incredibly talented animators and hope to see all of them again at the new venue!

For those of you that are curious; Titmouse is a maze of desks, donuts, and giant computer screens, and, not too surprisingly, a sense of humor sprinkled liberally throughout.

Picture
The actual sign posted (TWICE) in the women's restroom at Titmouse. I'm told that the one posted in the men's room is "covered in dicks." I can only assume that they are drawn incredibly well.

Back to the event!!

When I arrived Tuesday night (fashionably late as always - and perhaps just a little full of champagne - Bunny Princess on a Mission, remember??) I was met by a SEA of LA's finest models, artists, and all around badass people celebrating the passing of the torch from Bob Self to our new "Head Sketchress;" Lili VonSchtupp. Many of LA's finest already know Lili and for many good reasons; She is the founder of Lili's School for Wayward Girls, noted as LA's best Burlesque performer, and is also the producer of Monday Night Tease: LA's longest running weekly burlesque show.

Oddly enough the instant I saw Lili, I thought, "That is a woman I need to know." (It MAY have had something to do with her fabulous lashes and baller "Von Schtupp" blingin' ass chain she was wearing...).

Picture
They look crazy enough to try to organize events for anarchist type artists and performers, yeah?
Picture
Bob, Ulorin, and many artists still pictured, along with my "t'weren't plannin' on being seen," polka-dot undies.

Little did Lili know how quickly she would get to know ME...

"Hi! I'm Jin!

I put the ASS in CLASS."

In addition to the wine and the art, I've made many friends through this incredible group! Such as Bob's Right Hand Man, inspiring figure model, and one of my closest friends here in LA; The one and only Xine!

Picture
I can legitimately feel your jealousy through the computer right meow and it is completely founded; This bitch is awesome. Xine and I have plans to create scandal of the mostly lesbian variety all over Hollywood. That and she's a sweetheart and is gonna babysit my kitten for me when I travel! <3 (Click the pic to see upcoming "Tour Dates"!)

Of course none of this would have been possible if not for one particular red-hot Little Mama who first introduced me to the Sketching Doctor back in October. I owe a HUGE thanks and endless Bunny Kisses to my Model Wife and the main model of this extra-fabulous event: Jinx!

Picture
Jinx and I looking so, so fabulous! And not a drop of alcohol. Nope! Also announced that night was Jinx's retirement from modeling. Her amazing talents and assets (get it?) will live on through the art she helped inspire!
Picture
What is going on with my legs?? No seriously. Are they both broken?? I guess we'll never know, since Jinx insisted the photo be cropped so that no one could see she was rocking one dirty purple sock.

Somewhere there is a video of Jinx and I getting married on a cruise ship to Mexico in need of editing... *cough cough JIN cough cough*

By now I'm sure you've gotten a feeling for just how awesome this figure drawing group is and already have the www.DrSketchys.com bookmarked so you can see about events in your area, yes? You are fabulous!

**Oh!!**

I did mention that it was also Bob's Burfday, right???

Picture
CAKE. CAKE. CAKE. CAKE. CAKE. CAKE. CAKE. CAKE. DINOSAUR CAKE. CAKE. CAKE. CAKE.

Not only that but, holy fuck, it was also Ulorin Vex's Burfday too!! (You may remember this incredibly talented artist and model and her sweetly scented ass from our "Birds of Paradise" bodypaint photo shoot with artist Trina Merry back in November!!)

Picture
This picture is also tooootally clickable!
UV looked at me and was like 'I want the face."

And I was all like 'Gurrrrrl it's yo' burfday! You get dat face!'

Is everyone thoroughly jealous of my life yet? Obviously it was just what this little sexy ass bunny needed. It was a more than appropriately fantastic closing night for a very successful and inspiring man. All the best with your other ventures, Bob! Thank you so much for having me as part of the fun!!

A huge welcome to Miss VonSchtupp as well! It is beautifully obvious that the anti-art, art community fully welcomes you, and we are all looking forward to this next chapter in LA Sketchy History!

XoXo
JNT

P.S. . . . .

Now.. about my "Look".. The bunny ears I found at a $.98 store near my HQ. Normally I'm more of a kitty ears kinda gal myself, but in this case I bought three pairs in different color combos because I mean come on just lookit them. The dress was a $4 find in an Eugene, OR Goodwill that, although I had no idea when or where, I knew I needed because it was sparkly in my favorite color and one day it would be the perfect dress for some fabulous event. Obv I was right. **This dress MAY look familiar to some of you if you have seen the images from a certain Drag Party in DTLA at which it was willingly modeled by one of my male assistants. I think we both wear it equally well...) P.P.S. Are you in LA and wish to look fabulous! Check out #MissToxicStyles (that's me) and LEMME DRESS YOU!!
