I first got the idea for my July JNT "Lady Liberty" shoot while participating as a hair model for the Wella Trend Vision contest (post on that soon to come!). I saw how easily I could get my hair to liberty spike and immediately envisioned Punk Rock Lad Liberty. I really wanted to push the concept though, and spent many hours discussing with photographer/bodypainter Todd Powers and his wife artist/wardrobist Jen Raven regarding just what message I wanted to convey, and how to properly convey it. Thus, Lady Liberty, Bound & Gagged was also created.
This is the first time I've really pushed my art into the realm of 'political statement,' and I'm so excited with how everything has turned out.. But I am even more excited to see the world's reaction to this shoot!

I *could* walk you through this photoset, but I think it's much more fun to let the viewer create their own story.
There were also a couple that weren't quite what I was looking for.. but I found the feedback so funny I had to take a screen shot to share
Hee hee hee!
Ok, enough of those. On to the good stuff;
When Lady Liberty reclaims her freedom!
The second I saw this image I knew that this would be my print choice. 'Yes,' I thought, 'THIS is the Lady Liberty I want to portray.'
Introducing my July JNT Print of the Month!!
Thanks so much for reading/watching guys, I'd love feedback on this shoot! Are you moved? Angry? Unimpressed? I want to know!
Until next time!

Special big thanks to assistants Danielle Veiling, Alala Archer, and Dirb Art for coming out and slinging paint at me and my foolishly open mouth and eyeballs!
